What is Seasonal Color Analysis?

the methodology that changed how we think about personal style

Seasonal Color Analysis is a comprehensive methodology for identifying the most harmonious color palette for an individual based on their natural coloring characteristics. This scientific approach evaluates your skin's undertone, natural brightness level, and color saturation to determine which colors will enhance your natural beauty and create visual harmony.

The system categorizes people into four main seasonal families — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — with three sub-seasons each, creating a total of twelve distinct color profiles. Each profile has its own unique characteristics and corresponding color palette designed to complement and enhance your natural features.

The Four Main Seasons

each season represents a fundamental color harmony based on temperature, brightness & saturation

Spring

Spring 🌸

Characterized by warm undertones with golden or peachy bases, light to medium brightness, and colors that range from clear and vibrant to softly muted. Spring palettes feature fresh, warm hues that evoke renewal and vitality.

Summer

Summer ☁️

Defined by cool undertones with blue or pink bases, light to medium brightness, and predominantly soft, muted colors. Summer palettes embrace gentle, cool hues with a dusty or powdery quality that creates elegant sophistication.

Autumn

Autumn 🍂

Distinguished by warm undertones with golden or bronze bases, medium to deep brightness, and rich, earthy colors. Autumn palettes feature warm, muted tones that evoke the richness of harvest and changing leaves.

Winter

Winter ❄️

Marked by cool undertones with blue or pink bases, medium to deep brightness, and clear, vivid colors with high contrast. Winter palettes showcase bold, dramatic hues with striking clarity and intensity.

The Three Dimensions of Color Analysis

our analysis evaluates three fundamental dimensions to determine your optimal color palette

  • 🌡️

    Undertone

The underlying hue in your skin that remains consistent regardless of sun exposure. Undertones are classified as either warm (golden, yellow, or peachy) or cool (blue, pink, or rosy). This is the most fundamental characteristic in determining which colors will harmonize with your natural coloring.

  • 🌗

    Brightness

The overall lightness or darkness of your natural coloring, including skin, hair, and eyes. This dimension ranges from light (fair, pale features) through medium to deep (dark, rich features). Your brightness level determines whether lighter or darker colors will be most flattering.

  • Chroma

The level of color saturation and contrast in your features. Chroma is classified as clear (high contrast, vivid coloring), soft (medium contrast, blended features), or muted (low contrast, subdued coloring). This determines whether you're enhanced by bold, saturated colors or softer, more muted tones.
